Ratings of All Arkansas US Senators and Representatives

 by Conservative and Liberal Special Interests Groups

(Also Included Are Senators  Ted Kennedy and John Kerry)

See information below for individual special interest groups and their issues.  Several links are also given at end of  this document to easily verify the individual group rating of  each Congressional member

 This study used the following to classify special interest groups as liberal or conservative.   Each of  the 18 liberal groups in this study  embrace all or most of  the  following:

• same-sex marriage
• increased taxes, abortion on demand
• strict gun laws, 
• comprehensive explicit sex education in schools,
• total separation of  church and state,
• hate crime laws to include hate speech against gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transsexuals,
• gay adoption and foster parent rights,
• ocialized health care program,
• civil rights which include sex orientation

 These liberal groups oppose the following:

• reparatory(conversion) therapy for gays and transsexuals saying it is discrimination and hate,
• oppose censorship of pornography.. 

            The conservative groups  in this study  take the opposite stand on the above issues and lobby for traditional family and American values.
